Glenn was born and raised in Saranac and he graduated from Lowell High School. He proudly served 28 years in the U.S. Navy and was a signalman aboard the U.S.S. Maryland in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He retired from the Michigan State Police Department. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in Sheridan, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Whitehall and the American Legion in Whitehall. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Jane) Conner of Ionia and Donald (Vivian) Conner of Hastings, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his close friend, Edith Haupt of Montague. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine and his daughter Marcia Dalton. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, 200 Rich St. Ionia, with Pastor Joseph Fremer officiating.
