MIGenWeb The Ionia Sentinel-Standard Saturday, August 5, 1939 CASSIUS M. CONNER Cassius M. Conner, 68, of 227 Pleasant street, died at his home early Friday morning after a six months' illness. He was born in Easton township, the son of the late Mr and Mrs William Conner of Easton. Mr and Mrs Conner were married September 26, 1903 [sic, 1902] in Pontiac. Conner had been employed at the Ypsilanti-Reed for 20 years. Survivors are his widow, Mrs Lottie Edith Conner, seven children, Frank Conner, Mrs Reva Meno, Mrs Beulah Moore, Mrs Eunice Frisbie, Miss Crystal [sic, Chrystal] Conner of Ionia, Raymond Conner of Belding, Mrs Marie Woody of Traver, Calif., 11 grandchildren and two brothers, George Conner of Saranac and Ed Conner of Ionia. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Stone funeral home. _________________________________ The Ionia County News Thursday, August 10, 1939 CASSIUS M. CONNER Cassius M. Conner, 68, died at his home on Pleasant street, Friday morning, August 4, after a six months' illness. He was born in Easton township, April 20, 1871, and had lived in Ionia the past 20 years. He was employed at the Ypsilanti Reed factory until ill health made it necessary for him to retire. He is survived by his widow, two sons and five daughters, Frank of Ionia, Raymond of Belding, Mrs. Beulah Moore, Mrs. Reva Meno, Miss Crystal [sic, Chrystal] Conner, Mrs. Eunice Frisbie, Ionia, and Mrs. Marie Woody of California. Funeral service was held at two o'clock, Monday afternoon, from Stone Funeral Home. Burial was in Easton cemetery. Bearers were Alva Brown, Burr Stowell, Miles Sharp and George Taylor, all boyhood friends in Easton.
