MIGenWeb The Greenville Daily News Thursday, February 16, 1939 DEATH CLAIMS FERRY CONNOR [sic] Local Resident Drops Dead Wednesday At Home on West Williams Street Ferry Connor [sic], age 70, passed away very suddenly Wednesday morning at 5:30 at his home on west Williams street, following a heart attack. Mr. Connor [sic] had lived in this city for the past three years, coming here from Ionia county where he was born and had spent most of his life. He was a farmer. He was born in Ionia county on May 29, 1868. In January 1904 [sic, 1906] he married Miss Flora Scott, who survives him. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Flora Raymor, at whose home he died, Miss Hazel Connor [sic], also of this city, and Mrs. Ethel Moore of Ionia; one son, Howard L. of Muskegon; three brothers, Edward J. and Cassius M. of Ionia and George of Saranac; and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the residence on west William street at 2 o'clock with Rev. Paul Tucker officiating. Burial will take place at Easton cemetery, Ionia county. ________________________________ The Ionia Sentinel-Standard Friday, February 17, 1939 FERRY CONNER Funeral services for Ferry Conner, 70, will be held from the home of his daughter, Mrs Flora E. Raymor of Greenville, Saturday afternoon, February 18, at 2 o'clock with interment at Easton cemetery. The Rev. Tucker will officiate. Mr. Conner died at the Raymor home, 118 Williams street, Wednesday morning from a sudden attack of asthma. He was born May 29, 1868 in Easton township and had been a lifelong resident of Ionia county. Surviving are the wife, Millie F.; a son, Howard L. of Muskegon Heights; three daughters, Mrs Raymor of Greenville, Mrs Ethel T. Moore of Ionia and Hazel Mae, at home; three brothers, Edward J. Conner and Cassius M. Conner of Ionia and George Conner of Saranac and ten grandchildren.
