The Ionia Standard, Friday, October 31, 1896

Miss Ann Connor died at her home, 3 miles north of town, last Monday morning, 
of diphtheria, at the age of 13 years.  She was buried the same afternoon in 
the Catholic cemetery in Hubbardston.  As yet, there are no new cases in that 
neighborhood, and it is hoped the dreaded disease will stop with this one.
