Connor, of Easton, died at his residence one-half mile east of the Dildine school house, last Monday night. Mr.Connor was one of the old residents of Easton and was 79 years of age. The funeral took place at the family residence. Subsequent Publication: Thursday, July 28, 1881 The late Benj. Connor of Easton came to this county in 1845. He was born in Orange county, N.Y., in 1802. In 1830 he married Catherine Bronson, and the year following emigrated to Pontiac. Here he lived 14 years, when he moved to Ionia. His family consisted of four sons and three girls—all living. He was a member of the congregational church, and was a kind-hearted and widely esteemed citizen. Rev. Mr. Worden preached his funeral sermon at the services held on the 20th inst. His remarks were touching and appropriate.
