Mrs. Conroe was born in New York state, February 21, 1840. As a small child she was brought to Michigan by her parents and for over 50 years was a resident of Berlin where she lived on a farm. Seven years ago she went to live with her son Elmer at whose home she died. In addition to this son she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nettie Hubbard, Lake Odessa, and a son William, in Berlin. Funeral services will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Due to the absence of Rev. O. W. Carr from Saranac, choice of a minister to officiate had not been made at an early hour Thursday. Mrs. Conroe long will be remembered in the vicinity as a sweet and cheerful old lady greatly loved by her many friends. Up to the very last she was patient and cheerful.
