Ionia Daily Sentinel, 13 May 1911

Mrs. Margaret Conroy wife of Michael Conroy, of Ionia township, died last 
evening at eight o’clock at her home northeast of the city on the Muir road.  
Consumption, from which she has been a long sufferer, was the cause of death.  
Three sisters and her father, Mr. Murphy, of Montrose, Michigan, were with her 
at the time of her death.  Mr. Murphy, the father, is a man 85 years of age, 
and came here when called by the serious illness of his daughter.

Mrs. Conroy, besides her husband, leaves four children, Mrs. Nellie Jones, of 
Savanna, Illinois; Ed. Conroy, of Ionia, and Gertrude and May, who live at 
home.  Mrs. Conroy’s girlhood home was at Montrose.  They came to Ionia about 
nine years ago and bought the Jeffery Corbett farm where they have since 
resided. 

The funeral will be held Monday morning from the Catholic church in this city.
