Excerpts from the Grand Rapids Obituary

LOUIS CONTRERAS
Died July 11, 2002-age 78 at Lansing.
Born in Warman, Wyoming, on October 11, 1923.
Son of Joseph and Carmen (Arellana) Contreras.
He worked at the Smith Elevator in Lake Odessa, Mich., before retiring.
Preceded in death by his parents, 11 brothers and one sister.
Survived by a sister, Lucy Villa of California; brothers, Tom (Barbara) of 
Lansing, Andrew of Grand Rapids, Nick (Chela) Contreras of Calumet City, many 
nieces & nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m.,Monday, July 15, 2002 at the Koops 
funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa with Deacon Tom Jurek officiating.
Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Edwards, Catholic Church.
