Carlton R. Cook, 88, died unexpectedly at his home at route 3, Lake Odessa, Thursday. He was born December 16, 1881, in Sebewa township, the son of Charles and Viola Hubbard Cook. He was a retired ordained minister of Church of God. He had served in pastorates in Ontario, Canada, West Virginia, Pontiac and Lansing before retiring several years ago due to ill health. He was married to Henrietta Hough, September 1, 1901. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Edward Lane of Lake Odessa and Mrs. James Elkins of Burkley, W. Va.; two sons, Vivern of Lake Odessa and Kenneth of Ocworth, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Clifton and Charles Cook and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Williams all of Lake Odessa. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Rev. James Dalton will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.
