Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 1 Feb 1960

Mrs. Gladys V. Cook, 69, route three, Lake Odessa, died at 2:45 a.m. Monday at 
Lansing Sparrow hospital.  She had been in ill health and hospitalized 
intermittently the past two years and had been a patient three weeks.  

Born November 13, 1890 in Odessa township, she was the daughter of Samuel and 
Laura Sickles Snyder, and was married to Charles M. Cook June 20, 1906 in 
Ionia.  They spent most of their married life in Sebewa township.  Mrs. Cook 
was a member of the Sebewa Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Mrs. John (Laura) 
Zaukelies of Lake Odessa and Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Moore of 
Casnovia and Mrs. Beatrice Sieversten of Pierson.  

Funeral service will be held at the Pickens funeral chapel Thursday at 1:30 
p.m. with burial at Lakeside cemetery.
