Anna E. Cook, 89, of Pewamo died June 17, 1990 at Ionia Manor, Ionia.  She was 
born August 26, 1900, in Westphalia, the daughter of Englebert and Elizabeth 
(George) Esch.  She resided most of her life in the Fowler area.  She was a 
member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo and the Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, and by one son, Joseph.  
She is survived by four daughters, Cecilia Smith of Portland, Rosaline Schmitz 
of Pewamo, Jane Wirth of Westphalia, and Gladys Refsnyder of Penndel, Penn.; 
two sons, Gerald Cook of Portland, and Benedict Cook of Cascade, Idaho; one 
brother, Leo Esch of Fowler; one daughter-in-law, Connie Cook of Ionia; 34 
grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Burial at St. 
Joseph Cemetery with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Pettit officiating.
