He was born December 14, 1856, and was in his eightieth year. He was the oldest of five brothers and also had seven sisters. Five sisters and one brother have preceded him in death. He was born in this country of German parentage and was the father of nine children. His wife passed away about a year ago. He is survived by seven children and their families. Services were held at St. Joseph’s church, Saturday, January 25; and interment in the Catholic cemetery, south of Pewamo.
