S. Cook, passed away at Mt. Pleasant on Saturday afternoon at 6 o’clock, at the home of a sister, Mrs. Jacob Neff, whom she was visiting. She was aged 64 years, and while she varied her residence since the death of her husband, she claimed Ionia as her home town, having lived here more than thirty years. She leaves but one member of the immediate family, Silas, a son, of Grand Rapids, besides four sisters. The remains arrived in Ionia on Monday evening interment in Highland Park. Funeral service at the Church of Christ Tuesday at two o’clock, Rev. E. E. Branch of the Baptist church officiating, account of the absence of Rev. Moore from the city. The sisters who survive are Mesdames Neff of Mt. Pleasant, Druckheimer of Minneapolis, Pickett of Detroit, and William Samaine of Battle Creek.
