Cook, who was taken to the Traverse City asylum a few weeks ago, occurred there last night. He was 67 years of age and leaves a wife and one son, Silas, of Belding. He served in the First Michigan Cavalry at the outbreak of the war. Mr. Cook came to Ionia in 1852 and has resided here since. The remains will be brought here Friday for burial, the funeral taking place from the Disciple church at two o’clock, Rev. Moore officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Friday, October 22, 1909 The funeral for Charles S. Cook was held at the Church of Christ this afternoon. The Oddfellows and G.A.R. attending in a body.
