Fr. Philip Cook, assistant pastor at Howell, officiating. Mr. Cook was born June 7, 1893, and married on May 15, 1917 to Anna Wohlscheid at Westphalia. Following his marriage he made his home at Pewamo where he operated a farm a mile north of the city. He was a member of St. Joseph church at Pewamo. He is survived by his wife Anna; five daughters, Virginia, a student nurse at St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing; Genevieve, Rosemary, Phyllis and Joyce at home; his mother, Mrs. Mathew Cook of Pewamo; five brothers, Rev. Fr. Cook, Martin Cook of Hubbardston, Isadore, Casper and Alfred, all of Pewamo; and four sisters, Mrs. Fred Pittman of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. A. J. Dunnebank of Grand Rapids; Aurelia Cook, nurse at Seymour hospital, Eloise, and Marie Cook of Pewamo. His father, Mathew Cook, died about two months ago.
