Cook, conducted by E. E. Branch, and held at the home just west of Reformatory, was very largely attended by sympathizing friends. The singing was by Mrs. G.M. Phelps and Mrs. Frank Creasay. The interment was in Highland Park cemetery, where the remains were carried by G.M. Phelps, Richard Benedict, Harmon Cook, Fred Cook, Alex Robertson and Leon McVeigh. The deceased was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Millard, who came here from Pewamo. Her death was due to consumption. She had been a resident of Ionia most of her life, and was married to Mr. Cook about nine years ago. Besides the husband there are three surviving children, and two step-children. Mr. Cook has been at the prison for 15 years past. The casket was covered with many flowers.
