Lucia Anna Cook, 90, of Belding died Friday, Sept. 6, 1996 at Belding Christian 
Nursing Home.  She was born Nov. 12, 1905 in Kalkaska, the daughter of Seth and 
Julia Carter Russell.  She was a seamstress with the former Jolly Kids in 
Belding for more than 25 years and was a former member of the Royal Neighbors 
and served as their recorder.

She is survived by her children: Leonard Russell of Belding and Merrill 
(Margaret) Russell of Belding; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-
grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Cook, in 1977; 
one brother; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home 
with Pastor Kenneth Martin officiating.  Interment will be in River Ridge 
Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral 
home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or 
the Belding Bible Church.
