Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 29 Apr 1959

Mrs. Gertrude Cook, 91, died at 2:30 Wednesday morning at Eckerts where she had
been a patient since July 1954.  Mrs. Cook was born at Winchester, Va., November
5, 1867 and was married to O.W. Cook in 1885.  He preceded her in death in 1935.
 Mrs. Cook had been a resident of Ionia since 1920 where her husband was former
farm superintendent at Ionia State hospital.

She was a member of First Methodist Church and has no surviving relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home Friday at 11 a.m.
 The Rev. Heath T. Goodwin will officiate and burial will be in Highland Park
mausoleum.
