She was married in early life to Wm. Cook, and early in her married life was blessedly converted, and soon joined the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she has been a true member all these years, although practically a shut-in for many of the later years of her life. She and her husband moved to Ionia county during their early married life. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Hoxie, and there are left to mourn their loss one daughter, Mrs. Florence Hunt, of Denver; Miss Minnie, at home, besides grandchildren and other relatives. Throughout all the eleven months of her last sickness, following a serious fall last summer, she was greatly sustained by her strong faith in God, and during the whole period really grew in grace, her faith became stronger and clearer and her last days were days of spiritual victory, and triumphant waiting to "go home." The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Hurd of the Methodist church Friday at 2 o'clock, at the family residence on Hambrook street. The out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Perkinson, of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Lucinda Mayne, of Pontiac; Mrs. Ina Sturman, of Farmington; Mr. and Mrs. V. G. Snyder and son, Richard, of Cadillac; Mrs. Lester Kimberly, of Cook's Corners; Claud Parkinson, of Owosso, and Mrs. L. Redemski, of Saginaw. Burial was in Easton cemetery.
