Ionia County News

CLAIR FISHER COOK
Clair Fisher Cook, 67, son of Barbara and William Cook, was born in Cascade
Township, Kent County, Nov. 6, 1882, and passed away April 17, 1950. He was united in marriage
to Desdia Robbins, Oct 30, 1946. Most of his life was spent in Kent and Ionia counties.
He was employed at the Kent Country Club for 23 years, three years at Flint Golf Club and
for the past two years at the Cascade Country Club. He was beginning the first day of the
season when stricken. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Desdie; a step-daughter, Mrs. Frances
Ross of Ada; one brother, Roy Cook, of Flint; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Slater of St. Charles,
and two half-brothers, Fred Kegle of Ada and Charles Lawyer of Grand Rapids, and several nieces
and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Beattie Funeral Home. Interment
in the Clarksville cemetery.
