Cook, an old and respected citizen of this section, died at her home in Sebewa on Dec. 11th, aged 77 years, 4 months and 11 days. Deceased was born in Sullivan county, New York, her parents name being Orth, Germans. She was married to Dr. J.H. Cook on February 28th, 1850. They first settled in Niagara county, New York, and from there emigrated to the west, stopping in West Sebewa, in 1854, where they have since made their home, being counted among that township’s oldest pioneers. Dr. Cook died August 27th, 1899. Mrs. Cook is survived by two sons, Frank and Luke Cook, and one daughter, Mrs. Sarah M. Wallace, also six grandchildren and one great grandchild, also one brother, Wm. Henry Orth, a resident of Wisconsin. Deceased has been a consistent and faithful member of the Baptist church all her life, and will be greatly missed by the entire community in which she has resided for so long as well as by her children and relatives. The funeral was held from the Baptist church in Sebewa on Thursday at eleven o’clock, and the remains interred in the Baptist cemetery. Rev.
