Eugene "Gene" William Cook of Pewamo- age 85
Died August 27, 2016 at Story point in Grand Ledge
Born in Pewamo on January 30, 1931 to Albert and Pauline Cook.
Gene was a life-long farmer.
Married Donna Lynch of Carson City on July 31, 1954 at St. Mary's Church. 
Survived by his 6 children, 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, 1
sister-in-law , nieces and nephews.
Precede in death by his wife, Donna, parents, brother and three sisters.
Gene was an active member of St. Joseph Church, Pewamo.
Served for many years as Ionia County Commissioner and with the Ionia County road 
Commission.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday August 31 at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Pewamo, with Rite of Committal to follow at St. Joseph cemetery, Pewamo.
Family to receive friends Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary's Funeral
Chapel, Westphalia. A Scripture Wake service at 7:30 on Tuesday.
