HERBERT COOK DIED TUESDAY
Herbert Cook, about 54 of Baldwin Park, California, passed away unexpectedly 
Tuesday morning at the Hartman hospital, following surgery.

He and his wife, the former Nellie Jarstfer were planning to return to Michigan 
to reside when he was able. they had planned to live at Gwinn in the upper 
Peninsula where hey had lived at one time because of his health.

Mr. Cook was the son of Mr and Mrs.James Cook of Hastings and passed away on his 
birthday. Mrs.Cook, daughter of Mrs.Velma Jarstfer of Grand Rapids and the late 
Charles Jarstfer was in nurses training at Butterworth hospital and after 
graduation worked at various hospitals including St.Lukes at Marquette and 
Pennock hospital. She was employed at Hartman hospital, since living in 
California.

Surviving are his wife; two children and five grand children.

Funeral service are not known as yet.
