Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday April 19, 1973

Mr and Mrs.Lender Peacock received word of the death March.27 of Mrs Eva Cook, 
83, of Big Timber, Montana. 

She was born July 28, 1889, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Oliver Smith. She moved 
to the Big Timber area in October 1917 and had made her home there, since then 
Mrs.Cook homesteaded on Lost Cabin Creek and later had a ranch on the Main 
Boulder river until 1929 when she moved to the village. 

Surviving are four sons, Richard of Auburn, Wash. Oliver of Kent, Wash., Russell 
of Yakima, Wash. and Harry of Burlington, Wyoming; two daughters, Mrs Reva 
Townsend of Kent, Wash. and Julia Ellingson of Billings, Mont.:' ten 
grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held 
Thursday, April 5 at the Church of God with burial in the Mountain View Cemetery 
at Big Timber.
