The Ionia Sentinel, Saturday, January 6, 1968
Mrs. Ida M. Cook, 84, died Friday evening at Ionia Manor where she had made 
her home the past two and a half years with her niece, Mr. Floyd Wylie.  Born 
August 30, 1883 in Tower, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William 
Gillis.  Before her retirement she was employed as security supervisor at 
Ionia State hospital for many years.  She was a member of Presbyterian 
church.  She as the widow of Joseph Cook and surviving are one brother, 
Charles William Gillis, and nieces and nephews.  Funeral arrangements will be 
announced later by Myers funeral home.
