Ionia, Mich., May 17, 1908 - Ben Cook, aged 21, son of a farmer living near Pewamo, died at his home today as a result of a three inch knife wound in his abdomen. His wound was sustained in a fight in Pewamo last night, but the young man died without yielding to requests that he name his assailant. He got home with some assistance and got to bed without letting his parents know that he hurt, but sometime later notified them that he had a pain in his stomach. By the time a doctor was summoned his services were too late.
