Ionia Standard - Friday, Dec. 17, 1887

Mrs. C.W. Cook, of Otisco, widow of R.R. Cook, died at her home Sunday, of 
hemorrhage of the bowels. She was one of the earliest pioneers of Ionia 
county, coming to Otisco in March, 1838. She has ever since lived on the farm 
where her husband and herself first located. She was 75 years old Oct. 2, 
1886. She was given to the grave on Wednesday, where she will rest, mourned - 
as she was respected here upon earth - by a wide circle of friends.
