The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, February 5, 1917
Effie M. Cook, aged 46, died Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Ida Miller, 
South Dexter street.  She is survived by a brother, Fred Curtis of this city 
and other brothers and sisters.  Funeral services were held this afternoon at 
2 o’clock at the home of Geo. E. Curtis, West Main street Rev. R. B. Chapman 
officiating; burial in Woodard Lake cemetery.
