Ionia County News – Friday, 30 December 1927
Mrs. Rosilla Cooley was born February 14, 1855 and died December 17, 1927, at 
the age of 72 years, 10 months and three days.  She was married to Amos 
Cooley, a Civil war veteran, about eleven years ago.  He died seven years ago, 
December 4.  She is survived by one sister living at Owosso, who attended the 
funeral in Muir.  She lived alone summers, spending most of her time fishing 
and calling on neighbors, spending the winters with friends at Grand Rapids.  
She was very quiet as to her affairs of late years.  Burial was in the Muir 
cemetery.
