July 21,1 1916 ANOTHER PIONEER CALLED BY DEATH T.H. COOLEY IS LATEST TO ANSWER SUMMONS OF THE GRIM REAPER. T.H. Cooley, one of Odessa township's oldest and best known residents having lived in this vicinity, first on his farm and then in his village residence most of the time during the last 50 years, is the latest to answer the summons of death. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs J.H. Griffin, Tuesday morning after a period of illness. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the Griffin home. Rev. O. Lash preached the sermon, and the remains were then taken to lakeside cemetery for interment. Besides his daughter, Mrs John Griffin, Mr Cooly leaves two sons Howard, who is in the west and Alvin of Lansing.
