April 17, 1933 MR AND MRS RAY COOLEY LOSE LITTLE DAUGHTER For several weeks the life of little Donna Mae Cooley has hung in the balance. Up to last fall she was a healthy looking active child with beautiful curly hair, but disease fell upon the child and she quietly slipped away to be with the angels last Friday. The funeral was held at the home on Fifth Avenue. Rev. R.I. Boadway preached and sang comforting hymns. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery. Obituary of Donna Mae Cooley Donna Mae Cooley, daughter of Ray and Verna Cooley was born in Lake Odessa, Ionia County, Mich., April 19, 1931 and passed away at her home April 21,1933, aged two years and two days. All that kind and loving hands could do was done but all in vain. She leaves to mourn their loss besides the parents, one brother Edward, four grandparents, besides a host of other relatives and friends. We loved her, yes we loved her, But the angels loved her more, And they have sweetly caller her, To yon bright golden shore. The Golden gate was opened. A gentle voice said come And with farewells unspoken, She calmly entered home. Those from away in attendance at the funeral of Donna Mae Cooley were: Mr and Mrs Charles Snyder and Mr and Mrs Lee Otis of Lansing; Mr and Mrs D.L.Garfield and Mr and Mrs Peter Peterson of Lowell; Mr and Mrs James Scott, Mr and Mrs James Palmer and W.L Garfield of Saranac; Mr and Mrs L.E. Blakely of Kalamazoo, Mrs Vinnie Darby and Miss Irene Lepard of Charlotte. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our sincere thanks to the friends and neighbors, lodges, to Rev. R.I Boadway, and all who assisted us in any way during our sad bereavement.
