Ionia Weekly Sentinel - Thursday, Feb. 8, 1906

                             Mrs. John Coon.
Mrs. John Coon, who died at the home of her mother, 680 West Washington 
street, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tophial Slowinski. She was born 
Sept. 12, 1873, in Ionia, and in 1894 was married to the surviving husband. 
Two children born to them died in infancy. During her eleven years of 
suffering she had many kind and sympathetic neighbors and friends, and 
always had a cheerful word for all who knew her. Besides her mother, she 
leaves a husband, sister, Mrs. Harry Pettit, and three brothers. 

The deceased was a member of the church of SS, Peter and Paul, from which 
place the funeral will be attended Tuesday at 9 a.m.
