Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 May 1958

John Coonan, 76, who lived four miles southwest of Hubbardston, died suddenly 
at his home Monday morning at 6:45.  He had been ill for a month.

He was born February 20, 1882 on the farm where he lived all his life.  Mr. 
Coonan never married, and he made his home with a brother and two sisters on 
the family farm.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist church at Hubbardston 
and the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are a brother, James, and two sisters, Misses Mary and Margaret 
Coonan, all of rural Hubbardston.  

Funeral mass will be at St. John the Baptist church Friday at 10 a.m. with the 
Rev. Fr. Fox officiating.  Interment will be at the Catholic cemetery in 
Hubbardston.  The body will be at the residence until time of the funeral.
