The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 6, 1950

Funeral services for Herbert S. V. Cooper who died at his home Thursday 
evening were conducted by the Rev. John G. Carlton, pastor of St. John’s 
Episcopal church, from the Stone-Kauffman funeral home Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Interment was in the family lot, Highland Park cemetery.  His bearers were 
Chandler Haight, Lee Yates, Ernest Cusack, Max Pierce, Eugene Hannah, and Fred 
Tower.

Persons attending the services from out of town were Dr. Gladys A. Cooper of 
Red Oak, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Baker and son, Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. 
Harvey Mullen, Miss Irma Mullen and Miss Dacie Sunderlin of Lansing.
