Jackie “Jack” Conway Cooper, of Ionia, age 70, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2,
2008.  He was born on Nov. 8, 1937 in Ionia, the son of Clyde and Iva Cooper. 
Mr. Cooper attended Loomis School.  Jack married Wretha Cooper on Sept. 10, 1955
and they lived in Lake Odessa for a short time, before moving to Ionia where
they raised 4 children.  Jack had worked in the Ionia area.  He enjoyed hunting,
fishing, spending time with his family.

Surviving are his children Cindy Ockert, James Cooper, Scott Cooper and Lori
(Salome) Velasquez all of Ionia; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with
one on the way; brothers Gary (Dotty) Cooper of California and Clyde (Evalyn)
Cooper of Ionia; sister Rose (Don) Leak of Ionia and many other loving relatives
and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and his wife
Wretha.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 at the
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.
