Cooper, 51, Hubbardston, died Friday Jan., 24, 1992, at his home. Mr. Cooper was a deputy assistant warden at the Carson City Regional Correctional Facility. He was born Nov. 11, 1940, in Bloomer Township, the son of Kenneth and Ireta (Griswold) Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a former employee of the Ionia Reformatory and Carson City Temporary Correctional Facility. He was a 1957 graduate of Carson City High School and a 1962 graduate of Michigan State University with a degreee in Fisheries and Wildlife. He was a member of 4-H, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and the Ionia Sportsman and Fisherman's Club. In 1963 he married the former Joan Crampton in Carson City. She survives. Other survivors are two daughters, a son; his mother, Ireta Cooper, Hubbardston; two sisters; five brothers. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott, and his father, Kenneth. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday at Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City, the Rev. Robert Braman officiating. Interment will be at Palo Cemetery.
