Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Wed. Dec. 4, 1968


Funeral services for Walter Cooper, 73, of route 1, Prairie Creek road will be 
Friday at 2 pm at Myers funeral home. Rev. Robert McComb will officiate and 
burial will be at Balcom cemetery.

Mr. Cooper died Tuesday morning at the home of his nephew, Francis E. Houser at 
Lapeer, where he was visiting.

He was born September 4, 1895 in Ireland, coming to the United States as a 
young boy. For several years he was employed at Ionia Manufacturing Company/ 
The only known survivor is the nephew.
