Pat was born May 7, 1945, in Belding, the son of Milton J. and Ethel Talbot Cooper. He attended Belding Schools and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the St. Charles Church in Greenville and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Pat enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family, grandchildren and his McDonald’s buddies. He had a love for people and could talk about and debate politics, religion and life in general with anyone. His faith was a big part of his life and helped get him through many difficult situations. Pat will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was married on March 7, 1976, in Greenville to Marjean Beemer, and she survives along with her children, Adam Cooper and Stacy DeBoer, Frankie and Philip Haglund and Bryon Cooper all of Greenville. Pat also is survived by his grandchildren, Ethan, Andie, Payton, Beau and Abram; his brothers and sisters Kay Jeppsen of Belding, Kent and Mariea Cooper of Shelbyville, Dennis Cooper of North Carolina, Beth and Ken Taylor of Greenville, Joseph and Sue Cooper of Belding, John and Linda Cooper of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded by his parents, one brother and two sisters-in-law, Gary and Carol Cooper and Arlene Cooper. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Church in Greenville with Father Phil Salmonowicz presiding. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Belding. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with rosary at 7:30 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Belding. Memorials may be given to the St. Charles Scholarship fund.
