Carol Marie Cooper, 63, of Belding, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2003, at 
her home with her family at her side.  She was born February 2, 1940 in Mt. 
Pleasant the daughter of William and Mildred Connor Cahill.

Carol graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1958.  She was a 
member of St. Joseph Catholic School.  She enjoyed doing crafts.  Carol will 
be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She was married on June 24, 1967 to Gary Cooper and he survives along with 
their sons, Dean W. Cooper of Houston, Texas, and Jason and Marci Cooper of 
Belding.  Carol is also survived by her grandson, Tyler Cooper; her brother 
and sister and their spouses, Pat and Delores Cahill of Hudson, Florida and 
Wanda and Bradford Sprague of Greenville; her brother and sisters-in-law, Kay 
Jeppesen of Belding, Kent and Marie Cooper of Otsego, Dennis Cooper of North 
Carolina, Pat and Jean Cooper of Greenville, Beth and Ken Taylor of 
Greenville, Joe and Sue Cooper of Belding, John and Linda Cooper of Greenville 
and several nieces and nephews.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents 
and a son, Gary Milton Cooper in 1969.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church, Belding, with Fr. Troy Nevins officiating.  Interment is in 
St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation is 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 
p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with a 
rosary at 8 p.m. on Sunday.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph 
School or Visiting Nurse Hospice.
