Born December 9, 1920 inLong Point to Carl and Latonia O'Dell Shunk. A member of the Girl Scouts for more than 36 years, also member of the Women of the Moose and First Christian Church,Ionia. She was a Foster grandparent, helping in the Lyons-Muir Public Schools. Preceded in death by her husband, William E.Cooper, April 5, 1984, by a son,Jerry C.Cooper, Feb.12,1980 & by one great-granddaughter. Surviving are two daughters,Mrs.Linda Limon, Ionia, Mrs.John(Sue) Schaffer, Muir; three sons, William Cooper jr.,Ionia, James Robert Cooper, Muir, Charles Joseph Cooper, Palo; a sister, Mrs.Theodore (Elizabeth) Blumberg, Ionia; a brother, Charles Shunk, Florida; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. Cremation hs taken place. Memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Ionia by Rev. F.Michael Valentine. Interment at Tuttle, Cemetery,Ionia No visitation. Arrangements handled by Cook Funeral Home, Ionia. Memorial contributions may be made to Foster Grandparents, American Cancer Society or Ionia Hospice.
