George Anderson, 141 West Lytle street, where she had been residing for the last three and a half years. Mrs. Cooper was born in Fredrickstad, Norway, on July 6, 1862. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Anderson. The family came to the United States in 1872 and moved to Big Rapids. In 1912 she was married in Grand Rapids to J. Fred Cooper and moved to Cadillac where her husband died in 1946. In Cadillac she was a reader and a member of the Christian Science church. She is survived by two brothers, A. George Anderson of Ionia and Robert of Thompsonville, and several nieces and nephews. The body will repose at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home until 10 a.m. Sunday. It will then be transferred to the Rogers funeral home in Big Rapids for funeral services Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The services will be under the auspices of the Christian Science church. Interment will be in the Highland View cemetery in Big Rapids. ---- Services for Mrs. Nettie Cooper, 88, who died at the home of her brother, George Anderson, of Lytle street Friday were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Rogers funeral home, Big Rapids, by the Christian Science reader, Mrs. William Buckler of Big Rapids. She was assisted by Mrs. Anna Geesbeck of Cadillac. Interment was in Highland View cemetery, Big Rapids. Bearers were all nephews, Bert, Gordon and Wayne Anderson, Clinton Sprague, Alfred Palmer and Donald Polland. The body reposed at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home until it was removed to Big Rapids Sunday morning. Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Sprague, Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson, Alfred Palmer and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Griffin of Ionia; Mr. and Mrs. Elton Johnson of Belding; Robert Anderson of Thompsonville; T-Sgt. Gordon Anderson of Rapids City, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Anderson of Alma; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Polland of Saginaw; Mrs. Richard Burke and Joan of Dundee.
