Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 Sep 1924

Mrs. Mary Frances Cooper passed away at the family home on Prospect street
Sunday at noon.  Death came very suddenly as Mrs. Cooper was eating dinner.  For
55 years Mrs. Cooper has lived in Ionia coming here with her husband from
Boston, Mass. in 1869.  She has been an active member of the Baptist church and
of the Women’s Relief Corps.  Mrs. Cooper was 81 years of age at the time of her
death, and had always been in excellent health until two years ago when she was
ill with pneumonia, since that time, she has gradually grown weaker.  Mrs.
Cooper is survived by one son, Milo, of Ionia.

The funeral services will be held from the residence at 718? Prospect street at
3 o’clock, Friday.  Rev. E.E. Branch officiating.  Interment will be at the
family lot in Highland Park cemetery.
