COOVER IONIA-Paul H. Coover, 79, of 614 Union Street, died Sunday at the Ionia Manor. He was born April 23, 1900 in Kansas, the son of Mr and Mrs Alvha B.Coover. Mr.Coover married the former Mildred Darrow in Menominee in 1925. A resident of Ionia since 1949, he received a PhD in psychology. Mr.Coover was former principal of Menominee College, former Minister at Flat Rock and a teacher of psychology at Michigan Reformatory since 1949 until retiring. He was a member of the Gladiola Society, the Garden Club, was a Boy and Girl Scout leader a member of the Rotary Club and active with Senior citizens. Survivors include his wife; five sisters,Mrs.Viola Snyder of Santa Ana, California, Mrs.Ulva Kelly of Los Angeles, California, Mrs.Anitas Thomas of Detroit, Mrs.Ruth Arpin fo New Jersey and Mrs.Mildred Goddman of Texas. Services are Wednesday a 2:30 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman Funeral Home with Rev.Charles Fulmer officiating. Burial is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Fund is established for the American Cancer Society.
