Matilde was born March 14, 1936 in San Patricio, TX to Felipe and Delfina (Davila) Valdez. Matilde was lifelong member of the Jehovah Witness Church, in Ionia. She worked for GM from 1977 to 1997 were she was active in the United Auto Workers. After retirement she enjoyed being active, enjoying going to garage sales, estate sales and trips to California. Matilde also enjoyed going on Mission trips with her church. Matilde leave behind er siblings, Felipe D.Valdex, Guadalupe Valdez, Alicia (George) Cardenas, Maria (Zenon) Cardenas, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded into heaven by her on, Kenneth Thomlinson Jr. her parents; siblings, Jesus D.Valdez, Adam D.Valdez and Eva V Silva. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Koops Funeral Chapel on August 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Lakeside Cemetery.
