Ionia Sentinel Standard, 23 Aug 1922

George Corey, for 50 years or more a resident of this vicinity, died at his home
on Yeomans street, west of the city limits, this morning at 8 o’clock.  Mr.
Corey was a member of William H. Borden post, G.A.R., and leaves his wife and
one daughter, Mrs. Esther Philips, of Lansing.  The funeral services will be
held at the residence Friday at 2 o’clock and burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
