ALICE MARIE COREY 
Died June 2, 2010-age 59
Born November 1, 1960 in Ionia daughter of Robert & Doris (McCord) 
Montgomery.
Graduated Ionia high School in 1968, Michigan State in 1972 with a degree in 
Criminal Justice, and Golden Gate Univ. School of Law with a Juris Doctorate.
Was listed as Outstanding student, made Law Review & Who's Who of American 
Lawyers.
Had a private Law firm for 10 years in California.
Returned to Ionia. Was on the Ionia County Board of Canvassers  & was a 
Delegate for the Democratic Nation Convention in 2009.
Was an avid reader, gardener & did substitute teaching.
Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Herbert Corey of Ionia; daughter, 
Megan Elaine Corey of Ionia; 4 step-sons, Herbert Johns, Chad Mark(Katie) 
Corey of Lansing, & Shane Luke Corey of Lansing; parents, Robert & Doris 
Montgomery of Ionia; siblings, Mary Montgomery Colvin of Saranac, Donna 
(Dick) Nees of Jackson, & David (Debra) Montgomery of Ionia; 7 nieces & 
nephews, several step-grandchildren & great-great nieces & nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 PM, June 5, 2010 at Easton United 
Methodist church with Pastor Nancy Patera, officiating.
Visitation Saturday at the church from 1-2 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Mrs. Alice M. Corey.
