Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday April 20, 1961

Former L.O. Resident Passed Away Friday
Mrs.Ralph Corey of Big Rapids, sister of Mrs.Clarence Yager and a former 
resident of Lake Odessa died in Community hospital, Big Rapids on Thursday after 
a long illness.

Funeral services were held at the Rogers Funeral home Monday with burial in 
Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa.

Surviving Mrs. Corey are one son A.B. Corey of Crystal Falls, Michigan; one 
granddaughter, Nancy Wiers of Grandville and four great-grandchildren, also a 
sister, Mrs. Yager and two brothers, Frank Hesley of Detroit, and Paul of Elk 
Rapids. Her husband Ralph W.Corey preceded her in death ten years ago.

The Coreys were residents of Lake Odessa during the yers 1911 to 1923, during 
which time Mr Cory was manager of the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. They were very 
active in village affairs while living here and Mrs.Cory is well known by many 
residents.
