Hiram C. Cornell died at his home north of Muir Saturday, Oct. 4th, aged 62 
years.  Deceased had spent the most of his life in this county, having been born 
at Ionia May 25th, 1857.  In 1876 he was married to Miss Hattie Whitlock, and to 
them were born two daughters, one of whom, Mrs. Eva Warren of North Plains, 
survives.  December 3rd, 1913 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Cora Hammond, who 
with his mother, Mrs. Churchill, and a sister, Mrs. Dora Joslin of Ionia, remain 
to mourn their loss.
