Florence W. Cornwell, 78, of 701 West Washington, Greenville, formerly of 
Belding, died Friday in Butterworth hospital, Grand Rapids.  She was born in 
Belding Jan. 30, 1906, the daughter of Sumner and Mildred Reed Wilson.  She 
was graduated from the University of Michigan and taught for many years, 
including in Belding and Lyons.  She also served for many years on the board 
of Alvah Belding Public Library, Belding.

She is survived by three sons, David Cornwell of Honolulu, Steven of North 
Ridgeville, Ohio, and Greg of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one grandson; a brother, 
David Wilson of Belding, and one sister, Mrs. A. G. (Elizabeth) Kellogg, also 
of Belding, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home, the 
Rev. W. D. Wood officiating.  Burial will be in River Ridge Cemetery.  
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.  No visiting hours prior to 
service will be held.
