Keith Cory, 58, of Newaygo. Mr. Cory passed away Saturday, March 17 at Gerber Memorial Hospital, Fremont. Rev. Frank Gillett and Belding American Legion Post No. 203 officiated at the services. Interment was at River Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kerry Brown, Marvin Brown, Keith Cory II, Ernest Fries, Guy Lee Holt and Richard Cory. Mr. Cory was born October 1, 1914 in Adams County, Illinois the son of Edward and Opal Cory. Co-owner of Cory’s Highway Inn, Newaygo, Mr. Cory was a veteran of Word War II, past commander of Belding VFW Post No. 4406, member of Newaygo VFW Post 424, past president of Alvah N. Belding Library board, member Belding Lodge No. 355 F & A.M., 32nd degree Mason, and a member of First Baptist Church where he served as financial secretary for five years. Mr. Cory was cutting room manager of Jolly Kid Togs, Belding for 25 years and also worked for Ore-Ida as a quality control foreman. Survivors are his wife, the former Isabella G. Broadhead, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Olsen of Newaygo, a son Richard of Newaygo and five grandchildren.
